Cummings Leadership Search is pleased to assist our client, the Austin Police Retirement System (APRS) in its search for an experienced and trusted leader as its next Executive Director.

The Executive Director will provide strategic and operational leadership for a respected public retirement system serving approximately 1,600 active members and more than 1,400 annuitants. Reporting directly to the Board of Trustees, the ED will lead a 7-person team and oversee the System’s operational, financial, and organizational performance.

This is an opportunity for a thoughtful, experienced leader to shape the System’s long-term direction while ensuring strong day-to-day execution, exceptional member service, and the continued sustainability of APRS. The Executive Director will serve as a trusted partner to the Board and a visible representative of the System, building strong relationships with members, staff, City officials, regulators, consultants, and other stakeholders.

APRS’ mission is to serve its membership and protected retirement benefits for the past, present, and future members of the System.
